Times have changed considerably since the company’s horse and cart were making daily deliveries around the East Lancashire village of Hapton in 1927 and the R440 Scania 6×2 44 ton GVW tractor unit marks perfectly the advancement in technologies and comfort now available to enable a business like ours to thrive and lead within the highly competitive world of modern transport and distribution.
Commercial Director Stephen Fagan says “We wanted to keep our traditional and instantly recognisable colour scheme whilst offering something that would stand out and we feel this special livery is a fitting tribute to the 85 successful years we have been in business whilst it also promotes our thinking as an innovative and market-leading operation”.
The vehicle has entered service on the 1st February and will be engaged on both national and international operations hauling a variety of cargoes and will be piloted by long serving employee Adam Walne, who himself has worked up through the ranks to follow in his father’s footsteps in driving full weight articulated vehicles.
We hope the vehicle will make several public appearances through-out this milestone year so keep an eye out for it and let’s keep on trucking for the next 85 years!!
