To identify skilled driving at Fagan & Whalley, we have launched the F&W Gold Standard, our new driver recognition scheme, with a prize draw at the end of every quarter. Using the data from our telematics system, currently in every vehicle, providing real-time information to assist our drivers to keep on top of their game.
As well as championing Safe & Fuel Efficient Driving (SAFED), the system has also been endorsed by our insurers HDI Global SE as a contributory mechanic to improved driving. The red, amber, green, driver league tables, posted weekly on the operations notice boards, have changed with an additional gold category, that indicates how well our colleagues are doing, or where there is room for improvement. All drivers who achieve a score of 97.5% or greater, without any ‘at fault’ incidents or upheld complaints within any working week, will be entered into the quarterly Gold Standard draw.
The more weeks the Gold Standard is achieved, the greater the chances of winning, as it will be possible to be entered a maximum of 13 times. At the end of each quarter, there will be an electronic draw, with the winner receiving a certificate of recognition and an iPad/iPhone or similar. The quarterly periods are Jan to Mar, Apr to Jun, Jul to Sep and Oct to Dec. Each periodical winner will then be forwarded to the end of year draw to identify our Gold Standard Driver of the Year.
