Frontier Park is now A-grade BRCGS certified!

At Fagan & Whalley, we’re committed to giving our customers the peace of mind that their goods will remain part of a carefully moderated end-to-end process. We work hard to demonstrate our high standards and understand the role that industry-specific certifications play in this.

We are, therefore, delighted to announce that, following a recent audit of our Frontier Park site in Blackburn, we have been awarded an extension to our current A-grade BRCGS (Brand Reputation Compliance Global Standards) certification.

The extension of this certification means that our Frontier Park facilities can guarantee compliance with food safety and hygiene standards, having met the strict conditions required for the storage and distribution of food-related products within the industry, providing peace of mind for customers and end consumers alike.

Having first achieved our certification for our Burnley Bridge site back in 2017, this extension to our newest warehouse at Frontier Park is a great success for our hard-working staff and demonstrates our commitment to providing the highest standard of services to our customers.

“We are thrilled to have yet another warehouse receive the industry-recognised acknowledgement,” explains F&W Head of Compliance Martyn Richardson.

“Once a product enters the F&W network, every batch is entirely traceable, meaning we can keep clients updated with their stock and distribution figures, act quickly in the case of any product recalls, and reassure end-consumers that their products are of the highest quality.”

What is the BRCGS certification?

Formerly the British Retail Consortium (BRC), the BRCGS sets the international standards for food safety, used by over 26,000 suppliers in 130 countries. These standards provide evidence that an organisation is able to meet regulatory requirements for the safe storage and distribution of food products, avoiding cross-contamination between food products, and providing protection for the end consumer.

What happened to the BRC certification?

In 2019, the BRC rebranded to the BRCGS (Brand Reputation through Compliance of Global Standards). This change was made to reflect how they have grown over the years and how manufacturers maintain trust within their products and standards. Our A-grade certification remains intact!
