At Fagan & Whalley, we take immense pride in our facilities and our ability to evolve and adapt to serve our customers’ ever-changing needs. Today, we’re excited to give you an inside look into a cornerstone of our operations – our Burnley Bridge warehouse.
A brief history of Burnley Bridge
Incorporated into our operations in May 2017, Burnley Bridge is a state-of-the-art, purpose-built facility that spans 92,000 sq ft with a height of 17m.
The journey began with a comprehensive design and build project. After receiving the keys to this new custom-built warehouse, we spent five months kitting it out with high-bay pallet racking and wire-guided semi-automated VNA trucks. The goal was clear: to enhance our logistic capabilities and address the growing need for warehousing among clients.
Finally, in September 2017, we opened the warehouse to coincide with our 90th-anniversary celebrations. This marked a significant milestone in Fagan & Whalley’s history, commemorating a nine-decade-long legacy within the industry and demonstrating our renewed commitment to growth, innovation and progress.
Burnley Bridge is now a central hub in our logistics network.

The people powering Burnley Bridge
Beyond the impressive certifications and capabilities, it goes without saying that the heart of our Burnley Bridge warehouse is the fantastic team that ensures our operations run smoothly.
Kieron explains, “We’ve got an incredible team at Burnley Bridge, and we couldn’t be more grateful for them. We’re a close-knit family of 23 colleagues, comprising of warehouse floor staff, trainers, admin and management – and we all work tirelessly to ensure smooth and successful round-the-clock operations,”
“Occasionally, visitors are taken aback by the compact size of our team handling such a vast warehouse – yet we’re firm believers in the principle that ‘too many cooks spoil the broth’. By maintaining such streamlined operations, we can guarantee peak efficiency and excellence for all our clients while empowering our team.
“We take immense pride in creating a work environment that values each member of our team and strikes a balance between a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere and efficient operations.”
