Red rose awards – family business award

A season of celebration – we’re off to the Red Rose Awards!

We’re excited to be adding another awards event to our calendar. Red Rose Awards 2022, here we come!

Lancashire Business View’s Red Rose Awards is an annual event which celebrates Lancashire business, commerce, and industry, designed to raise the profile of local, Lancashire-based businesses and encourage inter-trading within the county.

“The fact that the company was established and continues to operate out of Lancashire is a great point of pride for us here at Fagan & Whalley,” says F&W Business Strategy Director, Sam Fagan. “We began as a small, local, family-run operation, and have since grown to encompass a substantial UK-wide infrastructure with 340 employees. In our almost 100 years of business, we have never lost touch with our roots and we have continued to celebrate our rich Lancastrian heritage, always seeking opportunities for community involvement, supporting local businesses, and doing what we can to give something back.

“We were thrilled to be announced amongst the finalists for the Family Business Award in this year’s Red Rose Awards. The family-run aspect of our business is something that has never faded or faltered, and it continues to play a huge role in things here at Fagan & Whalley, guiding our approach and informing our core values. Over the years this has been evidenced in the way that we recruit for our team, as we’ve been fortunate to welcome an increasing number of second-generation employees, who have all followed in their parents’ footsteps to become key members of the F&W family.

“This is the first time we have been involved with the Red Rose Awards, and we’re excited to attend the event at Blackpool Winter Gardens in June, where we look forward to meeting the other finalists and celebrating Lancashire enterprise and innovation.

“The awards ceremony for the North West Family Business Awards, held at the Titanic Hotel in Liverpool, will be the first event in our season of celebration, and we’re all keeping our fingers crossed for a win!”
